What's the cost?
Our apprenticeship program is committed to providing accessible education, and we are proud to offer a tuition-free experience for our apprentices. This means that apprentices can pursue their training without the burden of tuition fees. However, it's important to note that apprentices are responsible for covering the cost of their books. Books are normally ordered in July. Half the cost is needed upfront to order the books and the other half is due upon picking up the books.
This approach allows us to minimize financial barriers to education while ensuring that apprentices have the necessary resources, materials, and textbooks to excel in their coursework. We believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where apprentices can focus on their education without the added stress of tuition expenses, making our program an attractive and inclusive option for those aspiring to advance their careers in the electrical industry.
When is School?
Our academic calendar aligns with the traditional school year, running from September through May with a brief boot camp for 1st years at the end of August. School nights are held once a week from 6PM until 10PM, either on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the specific class. This arrangement allows apprentices to pursue their education while balancing work or other responsibilities during the rest of the week.
